Ask the Angels: How Do I Communicate With My Angels?
Sometimes in life the answer is so simple, you don’t see it. Communicating with your angels and spirit guides is one of these times. It's simple, but it does first requires practice. Even for me, in the beginning! I had to work at discovering my skills and developing my ability to listen to what was coming to me and through me.
In addition to practice, communicating with angels requires presence. You must learn to still your mind in order to access the full strength of your intuitive gifts. Remember, the mind is meant to work for you – not the other way around.

The simple answer, and perhaps, the difficult answer is that to communicate with you angels, you simply quiet your mind, and focus within.
Now, this of course takes practice – For the mind is used to being in charge.
The mind is used to running wild, running the show, thinking whatever it wants. But you can, and you will learn to quiet it, learn to take control, learn to pause the mind, so that you can tune into your intuitive gifts that are like currents running parallel to the loud voice of the ego mind.
You cannot be tuned in to both. Just as you cannot be thinking, lost in a spiral of thought, and be truly listening, and being fully present with another.
So too, you cannot be in a spiral of thought, thinking about ten things at once, and hear the guidance of your angels.
And so to hear the guidance of your angels, practice quieting your mind by breathing, by practicing listening, truly listening, and being present.
Practice simply being and when thoughts do appear, notice them, become aware of them, and let them go.
When a thought appears, focus fully on it – Not letting it bounce in and out (ten thoughts at the same time). Focus on the one thought that appears, wrap it in a balloon of light, a helium balloon of light, and release it. Let the thought float up out of your conscious mind and into the light.
Alternately, focus on that thought, see it as a mental picture, and imagine it dissolving into the light. Let it go. Drop your awareness inward. Step back into perspective. Find the calm and peace within you. Relax. Focus fully on your breath.
And to support you in this we offer you a subtle shift in a breathing exercise.
Breathe in, and pause halfway through your in breath.
And now, continue breathing in, and pause.
Now, exhale halfway, and pause. And now, exhale the rest of the way, and pause.
And so, inhale, pause, inhale, pause, exhale, pause, exhale, pause.
Breathe, and become aware. Release thought as it appears, and practice, practice, practice.
If you’re washing dishes, let yourself fully be there in that moment where you are, washing dishes. Feel the plate on your hand, the coolness of the water, the air on your skin. Be fully present. Practice presence.
This then empowers you when you consciously choose to tune in to angelic guidance, to shift, to pause the mind on demand, to focus.
And you can do this. Practice is required, but you can and you will.

Know the deep, true meaning of love. Experience love with all your senses. Repeat in your mind – “Love, love, love.” And if other thoughts appear, let them release. Return your focus to love. And know that you can do this. Keep practicing. It gets easier.
Through your presence, attention, and focus, you bring yourself into a place of relaxed receptivity.
