Angelic Guidance to Help Quiet the Mind

“How can I focus myself in communicating with my angels, when most of the time, there are a lot of things in my mind?” – Dana
Here's the answer channeled with Archangel Metatron by Melanie Beckler:
“The simple answer, and perhaps, the difficult answer is to quiet the mind, and focus within.
Now, this takes practice of course – For the mind is used to being in charge.
The mind is used to running wild, running the show, thinking whatever it wants.
But you can, and you will learn to quiet it, learn to take control, learn to pause the mind, so that you can tune into your intuitive gifts that are like currents running parallel.
You cannot be tuned in to both your angels and the voice of your ego mind.
Just as you cannot be thinking a spiral of thoughts, and truly listening, and being present with another.
So too, you cannot be in a spiral of thought, thinking about ten things at once, and hear the guidance of your angels.
Practice Quieting Your Mind
Practice quieting your mind by breathing, by practicing listening, truly listening, being present. And when thoughts appear, let them go.
When a thought appears, focus fully on it – Not letting it bounce in and out (ten thoughts at the same time). Focus on that thought that appears, wrap it in a balloon of light, a helium balloon, and release it.
Let it float up out of your conscious mind, or focus on that thought, see it as a mental picture, and imagine it dissolving into the light. Let it go. Drop inward. Step back in perspective. Find the calm. Focus fully on your breath.
Breathe to Quiet the Mind
And we offer you a subtle shift in a breathing exercise. Breathe in, and pause halfway through your in breath. And now, continue breathing in, and pause. And now, exhale halfway, and pause. And now, exhale the rest of the way, and pause. And complete this… And so, inhale, pause, inhale, pause, exhale, pause, exhale, pause. Breathe, and become aware.
Release thought as it appears, and practice, practice, practice, practice.
Practice Presence to Quiet the Mind
Presence – When you are driving, drive. Feel the feeling of the steering wheel on your hands, the seat below you, observe the road, look at the cars around you, be fully present with what you’re doing.
If you’re washing dishes, feel the plate on your hand, the coolness of the water, the air on your skin. Be fully present. Practice presence.
This then empowers you when you consciously choose to tune in to angelic guidance, to shift, to pause the mind on demand. And you can do this. Practice is required, but you can and you will.
In addition, call in Archangel Michael to help you clear your mind, release thoughts, and fears, and doubts, and focus fully on love.
And one final technique to support you in finding the place of a quiet mind where you can connect with your angels is a one word meditation.
Quiet Your Mind With A One Word Meditation
Practice a form of meditation where you pick one word or one quality, such as love, and you then focus on it completely. Let us do this together now…
Love – Feel what it is like to be loved.
Imagine you’re seeing the word “love” in your mind. (L-O-V-E)
See an image of a loving embrace, and feel what that feels like.
Know the deep, true meaning of love.
Experience love with all your senses.
Repeat in your mind – “Love, love, love.” And if other thoughts appear, let them release.
Return your focus to love. And know that you can do this. Keep practicing. It gets easier.

The second requirement is presence.
And finally, you must learn to quiet the mind in order to access the full strength of your intuitive gifts.
